The 10 most common Communication Problems
(Or why some presentations ... fail)
- Not establishing an initial rapport with the audience
- Poor body language. Looking awkward or wooden
- Presenting material that's too technical - doesn't evoke emotion
- Coming across as uncomfortable or light on knowledge of the subject
- Not using eye contact .. or not smiling
- No humour
- Audience is unclear of the direction of your speech (what's the point ?)
- Not using silence for impact (just gabbling on)
- Presenting without energy ... speaking too quietly
- Being boring. Using uninteresting material or poor quality Audio Visuals

- Transparency Protectors ... so that all your material is coded & protected
- Welcome cards for attendees names
- An Entrance Sign to make guest feel comfortable as they walk in
- Desk Plates (if it's a smaller meeting)
